Over the last 10 years experience in the USA and Europe has shown that patients are increasingly expecting a one-stop, multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of breast diseases.
We are pleased to announce the Fourth International Congress of Breast Disease Centers, which will take place in Paris, France on 5-6-7 February 2014.
The key medical specialists of these disciplines have been invited and they warmly support this project.
Patient care is an absolute priority for the gynaecologists, as well as the oncologists, radiologists and general practitioners, and more globally for all medical professionals in charge of the patient’s follow-up care. We have noticed great disparities on an international level regarding patient care. In some countries, breast diseases are taken care of in the gynaecology and obstetrics department whereas in others it is the work of oncologists. Alternative answers are offered in many countries. Furthermore, we have noticed great disparities in the services offered to the patients and it seemed interesting to us to set up a survey on the subject.
This congress will take part in the implementation of the European directive prompting medical practitioners to ensure better management of patient care for women suffering from breast diseases.
This congress is open to all gynaecologists, oncologists, mastologists, radiotherapists, radiologists, surgeons and any medical practitioner of all countries and its purpose is to meet the patients’needs and requirements more satisfactorily.
The scientific sessions and round-table, taking place over the next two days will analyse and discuss the various specialties within breast disease treatments– with the goal of synthesising the year’s top studies and innovations.
