The Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine was founded in 1982 and comprises about 250 veterinary and non-veterinary members from 24 countries.
Its annual conferences are well attended and attracts over more than 250 participants. From 26-27 March 2015, the SVEPM Annual Conference will be held in Ghent, considered to be one of the most beautiful cities of Belgium.
The combination of workshops, state-of-the-art plenary lectures, oral presentations of recent research findings, practically oriented lectures as well as poster presentations will provide the participants with a broad overview of the current state-of-the-art of veterinary epidemiology and preventive medicine.
The conference Venue ‘t Pand, an old Dominican monastery and nowadays the Culture and Congress center of Ghent University is located in the heart of Ghent. A guided city walk, an informal dinner at the Castle of the Counts and a dinner at the Old Fish Market will allow the participants and accompanying guests to discover more of our fascinating city.
